How Prepare Amritsari Chole Bhature | Indian Foody Boy | Indian Recipe



Hello friends! I am Indian Foody Boy once again welcome you on Indian Foody Boy. Our todays show is weekend special. Now a days Everyone likes Street food specially on weekend. Lets cook a famous dish of Punjab. It is easy to prepare at home. Your family can enjoy this dish.


Ingredients required for Chole Bhature

Lets Start with the Ingredients This quantity is for 2 people. All these ingredients are required to prepare dough (Bhature)2 bowls Flour (Maida)1 bowl yoghurt, Half tspn salt. Half bowl Semolina (Sooji)1 tbspn Sugar1/4 Baking Powder, To prepare Chole (Chickpeas) we required200gm Chole (Chickpeas); and soak it for 8-10 hours 2 Potatoes 1 Amla (Gooseberry)1/4 Baking powder 2 tspn Coriander powderhalf spoon saltRed chilli powder as per taste1tspn Garam Masala1 tspn Cumin seeds1 tspn black pepper seedshalf bowl Pomegranate 5-6 Green Chillies1 inch grated Ginger  Chopped Coriander leaves.

How Prepare Amritsari Chole Bhature


Now we have to prepare dough. We will add Flour (Maida), Sooji (Semolina),yoghurt, sugar, baking powder & salt.Mix all the ingredients well. Now with the help of luke warm water we will prepare the dough.Make sure the sugar we have added in the flour must mix well.

Pour a few drops of oil Knead the dough until it becomes smoothCover the dough & keep the dough in warm place for 2 hrs.Add 2 glass of water, Chole (Chickpeas)salt,potatoes,amla (Gooseberry)&Tea bag (for colour;optional) in the cooker cover the lid & boiled itCook it on high flame for 2-3 whistles.

After that cook it for 10 mins in low flame.In a mean while take a Pan & roast Cumins & black pepper seeds.Add Pomegranate & roast it for a whileOnce it will get roasted we will grind itTake a vessel & add 2 Tbspn GheeChole ( Chickpeas)are boiled nowAdd cumins in Ghee and fry it until it gets golden/brownAdd boiled potatoes ,Amla (Goose berry)Drain the Chole ( Chickpeas) and the keep the water in bowl. Add red chilli,coriander,garam masala powder grinded Spices. Saute all the spices.Add the drained boiled chole (Chickpeas)waterGravy has started boiling now we will add the boiled chole ( Chick peas) Cook it on low flame for few minutes. After 2 hours we will knead the dough with dry flour to make it smoothIf you want you can use paneer ( Cottage Cheese) for the filling in Bhatura. Mix grated Paneer ( Cottage Cheese )salt, chopped coriander leaves.

Take a vessel add ghee for deep fry & let it heatedApply dry flour on your palms & prepare the small dough balls. Dough balls are ready. Add grated paneer ( Cottage Cheese) in dough ball for filling. Now we will roll them using rolling pin. Take a dough ball ,bind with the flour roll them into oval shapeNow Fry Bhatura in oil by slightly pressing it.

Flip the Bhatura.Fry bhatura until it turns golden brown. Fry rest of the bhatura likewise by slightly pressing them Garnish the chole ( Chickpeas) with grated ginger,sliced onions,tomato,chopped coriander leaves,Green chilli. Delicious Chole Bhature are ready to serve.
